Waste Reduction Challenge

Waste Reduction Challenge

Raising children, managing households, growing great families, and reaching our parenting potential doesn’t happen in a vacuum.

That wonderful old saying, ‘it takes a village to raise a child’ is as true today, as the first day it was spoken. In fact, with our busy modern lives, and our disconnected communities, it may be even more true today!

And that’s why we created Parent Potential.

It’s a village of parents just like you, striving, thriving, flailing, failing, and laughing about it all over a nice cup of tea, or glass of wine. But always mindful of their job as parents, and always trying to be just that little bit better at it than the day before.

The only difference? Well, this is an e-village, where we all live online. Which means we can ask questions, seek advice, find mentors, share war stories, and hopefully have a bit of a laugh, when and where we need to.

And one of the ways we learn and grow is by completing challenges together… Welcome to the Waste Reduction Challenge!

Reducing Waste: Empower your Family to use Less Plastic in 28 Days

Join like-minded parents on a journey of discovery.

Use fewer plastic bags, get tips on kid’s snacks and lunches, reduce household food plastic, and find alternatives to plastic products.

Engage with our waste reducing experts:

Rachel Benefield, artist, educator and plastic-free author

Hannah Blumhardt, zero-waste educator and co-author of therubbishtrip.co.nz.

Week by week we’ll learn from each other, with expert tips and advice to guide us. And in 4 short weeks you’ll create a plastic-reducing habit to make your home, and your family, more sustainable.

The Waste Reduction Challenge begins on 10 June!
