I remember reading the book as a child. mmmm I love chocolate. When the
dvd was released I had to buy it for my kids. I loved the ending where
the boy had to choose between his family and the chocolate factory.
Great movie
One of those movies you can never get sick of watching. Great for kids.
This movie has to be a favourite for all. I think I have seen this
movie near 20 times (addict). It’s just so bright and cheerful, and the
oompa-loompas are sooo cute!. Not only do the kids love it, but many
adults too, hehe. I like the up-dated version with Johnny Depp, but
this one, I feel is a lot more family friendly. Johnny Depp looked a
little bit scary in the new version. A definite must see if you haven’t
allready!
This is one of those movies that will be around forever!!
Slightly twisted and warped – but in a child firendly way 🙂
Itotally love this film!!! The characters, especially Willy Wonka, who
is THE Willy Wonka, who could never be topped EVER the music, the
setting, the songs, and especially the Oompa-Loompa’s! Everything in
this film is so wonderfully done and everyone who hasn’t seen it yet,
needs to as soon as possible
All of our family love this movie.
Okey – the little Oompa Loopmas aren’t exactly PC, but the kids love them nonetheless.
I like the morals in this story – if you are rude, are a glutton, or watch too much tv – you will meet a nasty end!
Little Charlie is kind and honest and he triumphs in the end!
My
kids often say things like “Don’t be like Violet Beauregarde, or Mike
TV!” …and what about Augustus Gloop – what a brilliant name!
This is definitely an all time family movie.
I would say, however, that little 4 or 5 years olds can get a bit scared in places.
I love all versions of this movie. My sons just love it and we have the DVD copy. It can be watched again and again.
This is a fantastic movie for people of all ages. Bright, colourful,
loads of lollies and fun singing for the littlies and dry humour thrown
in for the adults. A great movie that will keep you glued to it till
the very end. A lot more child-friendly than the newer movie.
