This is a picture book for young children that I found at my local library.
I’m liking
TIMMERS, L. (2009). Who’s Driving? (B. NAGELKERKE, TRANS.) WELLINGTON: GECKO PRESS. (ORIGINAL WORK PUBLISHED 2005). (GENRE: PICTURE BOOKS)
Preschoolers, especially 18-24 month olds, will love this book. The various forms of transport depicted appeal to children of this age (boys and girls) and the simple writing and repetition of ‘who’s driving’ throughout make it a great book to read with young children.
The brightly coloured illustration show various animals that children can point to and they will enjoy guessing which animal will be driving next. There’s a lot to see in each illustration without being too busy and children will find the pictures of animals wearing bizarre outfits hilarious. The sound effects are included in the text and children always love making these noises.
I really enjoyed this book, so I think adults will like reading it to their preschoolers too. I’ve bought a copy for my nephew’s 2nd birthday, as I think he’ll love it.
Things that made me go hmmmm
Nothing.
The conclusion
This is a great book, perfect for about 18months to about 3-4 years. Really fun book.
