TomTom Via 620 GPS.
I’m liking
This GPS takes the hassle out of finding your way and is perfect for a smooth holiday as it can be used in both New Zealand and Australia. There is no more pouring over maps and arguing over directions. With the Tom Tom, the family can sit back and relax and be navigated to your destination. The touch screen makes it easy to use and includes vital details such as what lane you need to be in for the turning ahead. An anticipated arrival time is also given at the bottom of the screen. This is something we found invaluable when meeting friends in an unfamiliar setting. The time also gets updated as you travel.
Things that made me go hmmmm
As we were using the Tom Tom Via 620 this for a test, we did not mount it on our window. I would recommend this as the off button is located very close to where you would normally hold the GPS and a number of times I inadvertently turned the GPS off which was very frustrating. This is the only fault I have of this GPS, otherise I loved it.
The conclusion
A GPS is a great investment. Once it has been purchased there are no extra roaming fees to pay. To hire a GPS with a car hire you can be paying up to $80 a week. This is a great item which can even be heard over the din of children and takes the stress out of driving. This is an everyday essential for people living in large cities and who travel often.
