I’m liking
I really like that all the recipes are very clear and written in non-technical language that we don’t need to be trained chefs to understand. Happily, many of the recipes use ingredients from the supermarket, and Adrian Zumbo provides a glossary for the more unusual ingredients including information on where to get them.
The Zumbo Files includes a glossary of terms along with some basic recipes to allow you to gain confidence before tackling the likes of the Chouxmaca. The very clear step-by-step instructions mean that these gourmet creations are achievable for the home cook.
If you’re like me and sometimes feel like tackling something a little more creative and challenging for a special birthday or occasion, then any of these amazing creations are perfect!
Things that made me go hmmmm
Although these recipes have been created for the home cook, there is a long list of ingredients and instructions that I’m sure pretty bit daunting for the average home cook. The Zumbo recipes are very labour intensive and planning is involved before you undertake any of these amazing creations. Realistically I’m not sure how many of us have the time to dedicate to these gorgeous culinary works of art.
Great for a weekend project or special occasions and I’m sure the effort will be unforgettable! I certainly enjoy looking at the gorgeous images.
