Helen is the youngest of the Walsh sisters and a law unto herself. She’s easily bored, has an inability to filter her thoughts and was fired from every job she ever had before she found her true calling as a private investigator. In The Secret of Mercy Close, she’s on the search for AWOL boyband has-been Wayne Diffney

I’m liking

In true Keyes style, this is very readable. It’s amusing and trots along and has enough to keep you engaged. If you are a fan of Keyes, you will know the Walsh family and will enjoy getting to know Helen.

Things that made me go hmmmm

I think this book suffered from the fact that I read it straight after I’d read Life After Life, which I adored, and it felt like popcorn in comparison. Having said that it’s definitely the kind of book that you could take to the beach or (in my case) read in those last few weeks of pregnancy when you just can’t take anything tough going.

The conclusion

Very readable but fairly easily forgotten, in my experience 🙂

Rochelle is mum to three gorgeous daughters. She wishes she had more time to garden and read the newspaper in peace!
