Mia Thermopolis (Hathaway) is a bright but terribly shy and gawky teenager whose goal in life is to survive each school day with a minimum of attention and embarrassment. Unfortunately, her wish to be invisible is thwarted when her strict grandmother arrives and delivers the shocking news that she’s a real-life princess heir to the throne of Genovia! Furious, the reluctant royal agrees to take “princess lessons” and make the biggest decision of her life – in three weeks. And so begins a comical transformation towards poise and princessness when she finds herself in the middle of a media storm, jealous schoolmates and a plot to take over her country. Funny and uplifting, your entire family will thoroughly enjoy this crown jewel.

I just love this movie and fun and full of laughter. I have seen this movie at least 6 times.
My daughter and i have really enjoyed watching this movie. We have
watched it quite a few times and have ended up taping it everytime its
been on tv.
I have watched these movies every time they have been on TV with my daughter and we both enjoy it.
a movie that me daughter went to see at the movies, ended purchasing and love watching it.
The first has all the elements of a teen film, there’s Mia’s choice
between everything she’s ever known and her duty as a princess, the best
friend who’s alienated as Mia’s character picks the other crowd, some
posh frocks, a love interest that may or may not work, and lots of
dashing about at the end, where we receive the final twist in the plot.
Anne Hathaway and Julie Andrews give excellent performances and most age
groups will enjoy the film.
These are great family movies, easy to watch, funny, and make you laugh and cry.
