Tis is a movie that captivated audiences. The special effects are
impressive and the acting was good. I wish that Daniel Graig had a
bigger role in this. The film was a bit difficult to understand,
especially if you haven’t read the books
A very imaginative movie, beautifully shot. This is clearly one of the best movies of the year.
All the hassles with this movie but i liked it. Great graphics and sound.
Truly a beautiful film. A true example of a great children’s movie with
fantasy and amazing effects. Orphan Lyra lives in a fantasy parallel
universe where people’s souls (daemons) live outside their bodies as
animals. Children’s daemons can change, for instance from a ferret to a
monkey; but on adulthood the image of their soul is fixed. But there’s a
group of people, intent on separating children from their daemons and
Lyra gets caught up in their plan, as one of her friends is kidnapped
and she goes tothe planet’s far north to find and rescue him. Along the
way she gets help from “gyptians”, witches and an armour-clad polar
bear. Be dazzled by the special effects, the plot will keep you
entranced and you’ll wondering when can you see the sequel.
