I’d have to say that I’m not a great fan of instant meals like this so I thought I would just pass them on to my husband for him to try. However, he came home from work remarkably positive about his experience with the Japanese Style Noodles with Teriyaki Chicken so I thought I’d give the Hokkien Noodles with Thai Basil and Chilli Chicken a go.
These packs are remarkably authentic tasting. The noodles hold their shape well and the chicken comes in good sized pieces. The veges are probably a bit softer than I would cook at home but still recognisable as vegetables!
The packs are a good size and even come with a fork!
Things that made me go hmmmm
There was a slightly processed aftertaste to these meals that I associate with prepackaged food like this but generally, the flavour was pretty good.
The conclusion
I was pleasantly surprised by these packs! The ingredients seemed ‘real’ and the flavour was pretty good. They’re also pretty reasonably priced at $4.99. They’d make a good meal to keep in the cupboard for emergencies for take for lunches.
