My husband is *very* safety conscious and when I first floated the idea of a trampoline for our kids for Christmas last year, he was a bit nervous! After a bit of research, there was no way that he would agree to anything other than a Springfree tramp and now, I’m so glad!!
I’m liking
Of course, the main feature of a Springfree trampoline is the fact that there are no springs for kids (and adults!) to land on. As these are one of the major hazards of tramps (trust me: I broke my leg on one when I was 5), this eliminates one of the greatest risks.
These tramps are also extremely robust. They’re heavier than many others on the market and this means that they take a higher weigh limit. Many of the other tramps I looked at were only rated for single users up to about 80kg which means that many dads can’t join in the fun. The Springfree we got is suitable for single users up to 115 kg or a total load of 500kg!! Yah! The heavy duty frame also means that they are more stable. During the huge storm we had in Wellington a few months ago, our tramp staying safe and sound where many around us took flight.
Springfree tramps were also invented by a clever kiwi. Always a plus!
The conclusion
Springfree tramps are more expensive than many on the market but you’ll never regret buying one. Our kids have had hours of fun and I’ve been amazed at the way that their skills have developed. After almost a year of use, the tramp still looks good as new. I’m looking forward to many more years of fun ahead!
