My toddler just loves to be able to roam outdoors and explore… I’m sure he shares that joy with most toddlers! This simple pair of overalls has meant I have allowed him much more freedom to do so which is a win all round.

I’m liking

These are size small. My son is 18 months old – I can roll up the bottoms and cinch the straps right in and I’m sure they’ll keep going for another year or two so that makes them good value.
They are very easy to get him into – he can put his leg into the holes, I just need to pull the elastic around his ankle (and onto his gumboots) and roll the cuff a little. The straps function with great ease yet hold their grip well.
I have just been sticking them in with the rest of the washing – they have washed perfectly every time and dried on a rack overnight.
They’re roomy enough to fit over the top of his jacket (meaning maybe I won’t have to wash both…), or they fit well over a jersey. I haven’t had him outside in the pouring rain to test their true watertightness. To be honest I’m not really likely to take him out in the pouring rain much anyway!

Things that made me go hmmmm

Some pockets would’ve been the icing on the cake.

The conclusion

These do everything I want them to do. They’re a very useful and durable item. I love the fact they come in red or avocado, as well as blue and pink options. At $50, I think they are worth it because they would last at least a couple of years and probably a couple of kids. Thumbs up from me!
