Paddington Races Ahead is Michael Bond’s latest edition of classic adventures of the bear from Darkest Peru.
I’m liking
If you grew up with Paddington (and even if you didn’t) these are charming stories to share with your children. Each chapter is a selfcontained episode – though together they make a lovely novel. Paddington is just as sweet and childlike as he’s always been and just as adventurous. Misunderstandings, as usual, make for fun – Paddington gets confused for an Olympic athlete….The stories are lovely for children and parents alike.
Things that made me go hmmmm
The only thing I’d mention is that each story flowed beautifully then seem to be tied up fairly suddenly. They were still lovely stories though.
The conclusion
The collection of stories is lovely. A bit long for bedtime so pick a rainy afternoon and have a lovely cuddle on the couch xxxxxxxx
