I really liked this bag and it has several great features that make it a little different from some of the other bags that I have tried. Firstly, the seat belt slot has a zip to seal it. From time to time, my bubba manages to get her foot out of the slot in other bags so I liked the fact that this meant she couldn’t. Great idea!
Also, an on-going grip of mine is having to do up fiddly zips in the middle of the night and this bag has a lovely big zip with a great pull-tab on it. This makes it much easier to grab old of! The zip also stays together at the end when undone which means that you don’t have to fiddle around trying to match the pieces. On the flip side, this means that it doesn’t entirely open out flat but I can’t really think why this would be an issue…
Things that made me go hmmmm
Generally, this is a great bag. However, there were a couple of little things that I thought could do with a bit of thinking about. Firstly, the domes at the top and side of the bag were quite small and rounded on top. Although the pearl top looked lovely, they were a bit small and fiddly to do up and the fact that they were rounded made it hard to put pressure on correctly to snap them.
The grey and vanilla colourway is gorgeous and fresh but being quite light, it’s also quite susceptible to marking (especially from my dribbly baby). I’m a big fan of dark colours for babies 😉
Extra for Experts
This bag seemed a bit wider than the other bags that I use and the arm hole was also quite a lot deeper. There was a dome on the arm hole so it didn’t gape and I don’t think it affected the performance of the bag.
The conclusion
This is a really good, quality bag. At $145 (0-2 size) it’s a little cheaper than some other bags on the market and this would make it well worth considering. There are some nicely thought out features and I like using it with my baby. Available from www.nodoff.co.nz
