In this Caldecott Medal winner. Max, a wild and naughty boy, is sent to bed without his supper by his exhausted mother. In his room, he imagines sailing far away to a land of Wild Things. Instead of eating him, the Wild Things make Max their king.

This is such a neat book, brings back so many memories! I used to
love getting it out from the library when I was young. Now I enjoy
reading it to my daughter!
my mum used to read me this book when i was little and now i read it to my children. They love the story.
I remember reading this book when I was a child. I loved it. My son
picked this out as one of his 2 books per visit from the library a few
months back. I had to read it to him every night at bedtime until we had
to take it back to the library.
The pictures are terrific with a lot going on in the background
Here’s another oldtime favourite which my children just love!!!! It
is a great illustration of children’s imaginations…….Great Book
My two sons absolutely loved this book. They liked the idea of
going ‘where the wild things are and the book inspired a lot of play in
our house. The book nicely balances the child’s need for imaginative
thinking with a sense of limits and the pleasures of home.
My aunty used to read me this book and if i didn’t go to sleep fast
she would say the wild things would come and get me. Great book
