The Set Up
This sleep bag is a little different from the other sleep bags that we reviewed. It’s a stretch cotton bag with a zip up the front that puts your baby into a hands up posititon. Wrapping babies in a hands up position is a natural sleep position for many babies and this position not only keeps the babies cosy by keeping them in a good position for sleep.
I’m liking:
That my baby really does seem to like sleeping in it. The first time I put him in it he broke his sleep record and slept for 5 hours. He also slept for 6 and 7 hours for the first time in this swaddle so I really do think it helps him to sleep longer – WHICH I LOVE! He has now got to the stage where he likes to chew on his hands which he can still do in this kind of swaddle – so we are all happy.
Things that make me go hmm:
It seems a silly thing to complain about really but having his hands swaddled up means his hands are still up when I get him up during the night for a feed. It means his hands and the swaddle often get soaked in milk. So when it says on the box that the swaddle should be washed between each wearing …there’s really no choice about the matter.
In conclusion:
You will want more than one because you will want to use it every night – however the reason you want to use it every night is because if your baby is anything like mine it really might sleep better using this swaddle.
