Lonely Planet Kids, How Cities Work is a book all about the explorations of cities; inside, outside and underground. This amazing book is packed with flaps to lift, and folded pages, to discover the workings of a city.
What I’m liking
Lonely Planet Kids have outdone themselves with this amazing book. Every page is packed with a wealth of information about the inner and outer workings of a city.
My daughter and I had so much fun going through all the different pages and discovering all the hidden items behind each flap.
This is the type of book you just can’t get bored of, because there’s always something new to see and discover. It’s filled with interesting facts backed up by wonderful images of how cities work.
My miss 3 will spend ages on her own just flipping through the flaps and making up her own little town stories. So although it’s aimed at children 5+, children much younger will still enjoy all it has to offer. For older children the mechanics and economics of how cities work will create ongoing discussion and discovery for hours of reading fun.
Conclusion
This is such a cool book to have on your bookshelf. It’s one that your children will revisit time and time again.
