Published six times a year, Kiwi Parent contains a wealth of topics related to pre and postnatal issues, birthing, parenting, families and education, as well as news from the Parents Centres organisation – and much, much more!

Articles are informative, funny, challenging, controversial, and entertaining. Regular features of the magazine are columnists writing on food and nutrition, breastfeeding notes, and the challenges of parenting in the new millennium. Popular too, are the book reviews and crossword puzzle and an amazing range of giveaways and competitions always elicit a huge reader response.

Readers contribute to Letters to the Editor pages and problems and answers are shared. The Food and Lifestyle Supplement launched in 2005 is now a popular feature of every issue.

Kiwi Parent is one of the major benefits of Parents Centre membership.

It is also sold in selected retail outlets and is available on subscription delivered direct to your home.

  1. I think it could be good for younger parents who don’t read many parenting books.

  2. I don’t normally buy alot of parenting magazines but this one caught my
eye. Very informative. Great articles. Loads of information.

  3. I have kept a few of these issues and have found great receipes for toddlers. Its worth the buy

  4. My husband and i love this magazine. It has great idea for children and i love reading the seasional articles.

  5. I have been buying this mag for a very long time and the money i have
invested in to is worth it. Lot of ideas and it really relates to use
    kiwi parents.

  6. I was given one as a present from friends regarding morning sickness. I
have been buying a few of these only if i like the articles.
interesting topics and ideas for kids receipes.

  7. I love this mag and keep mine as a reference for future use. This book
is great for black or white, rich or poor families. I like to visit
their stand at the parent child show. Worth reading for first time
    parents/

  8. I get mine free from attending parent courses. This book is great for
parents with little children. Worth buying and keep it as ref.

  9. i received mine at the parent and child show. I was happy with the
article realting to children. I have kept mine and refer back to it
    from time to time.

  10. I love getting this magazine delivered to my door every couple of
months, (free with my parent centre membership), and find myself reading
it from cover to cover. I think there is a good variety of topics and
often has me doing more research into certain things that take my
interest. I like the fact that it’s not laden with technical terms and
gives pros and cons in the articles. As a first time Mum I have really
enjoyed this mag and often flick through previous copies referring to
    different things.

  11. I was a bit disappointed with this mag as I felt it was written a bit
simply. I get them free being a member of Parent Centre and haven’t
found too much info helpful in them. A few of the articles on breast
feeding have had flawed research added which could actually have caused
some parents to want to give it up altogether! I think it could be good
for younger parents who don’t read many parenting books.

  12. I really liked this mag when our kids were younger. We did a couple of
courses through Parents Centre and joined up, getting the magazine. It
doesn’t seem to have the relevancy to us as our kids have grown, but I
would recommend it to parents of young chidlren.
