Become a superspy in Cars, save the day as a robot in Toy Story, adventure through Paris as a clever rat in Ratatouille, stop the Omnidroid as a superhero in The Incredibles, and help Karl as an intrepid Wilderness Explorer in Up. Rush is a madcap rollick through some of your favourite Disney Pixar cartoons.
I’m liking
This is a fully featured game and the storyline is cool – essentially you are reenacting a scene from the movie and you are incorporated into the action. The sensor even picks up what you are wearing and makes an attempt to recreate this. I really liked the imaginative aspect to this game and I imagine that kids up to 10 or 12ish would still enjoy it. Having said that, teenagers would probably like this game as well.
As always, the graphics are superb and you’ll find yourself absorbed by the challenges.
The game makes good use of the Kinect sensor and it’s another of games that will really get you sweating. I particularly liked the climbing aspects.
The game is pretty tolerant of mistakes and this really helped when we were playing it with our 4 year old.
The conclusion
Although this game is aimed at kids, there is plenty to engage adults and I had a great time completing the challenges. I loved the smooth graphics and the active nature of the game. It develops well and moved along at a good pace. The film aspects are well-incorporated into the game and your children will love seeing their favourite characters 🙂 Good fun and heaps to keep the whole family entertained for ages.
