Another brilliantly crafted story of real family life from the prize-winning, children’s favourite, Jacqueline Wilson – now with a new introduction and cover look!
When Jayni, her mum and little brother have to run away from her abusive father, it starts off as a big adventure. They slip out at night, go up to London by train and stay in a hotel. They even make up false identities to protect their secret and Jayni becomes the glamorous-sounding Lola Rose. But when the money runs out and reality bites, is it still a game they should play?

  1. As my daughter can be quite sensitive i was a bit wary of letting
her read this book but she coped just fine. I’m finding that with the
Jacqueline Wilson books they can be a bit hit or miss but she says she
    really enjoyed reading it.

  2. I found this book quite sad to read as my daughter found it sad. Its about pain and suffereings.

  3. I found this book very sad to read and i was really into this book.
i felt if you are there feeling the pain Lola Rose was going through.
This book story should be made into a movie. This relates to everyday
    life in NZ, domastic voilence.

  4. I love this book because it is so real! Because it is so real I can
imagine myself with Lola Rose and going through her pain, sorrow,
happiness etc. I would recommend this book to people who like real life
    situations!
