Men tend to see themselves as providers, protectors, heroes, mentors, sportsmen and lovers.  These healthy qualities of manhood undergird the practical advice Ian Grant relates.  A father is the first male in a child’s life, and Ian Grant suggests that dads have a mandate and a responsibility, through the way they relate to their children, to give manhood a good name.  He demonstrates consistently and lovingly how men can become the fathers their children need in the new millennium.

Written in short, sharp, easily-mastered strategies, Fathers Who Dare Win includes practical advice for busy dads to connect with their children; dads who don’t live with their children; having fun with your kids; conducting a fantastic Father’s Day; discipline that makes sense; being a hero to your kids; dealing with food faddiness and undesirable behaviour; running a family meeting; becoming a parent-coach; and more more…

  2. Recommend this book to the boys, my hubby has read and re-read this book
and the second time round he has highlighted the parts that he wants to
work on throughout the entire book. He loves it and it is great to have
a book just for the guys, it’s more at their level of understanding.
Men aren’t interested in the motherly stuff – they just want to know how
to be the best Dad they can be. Thumbs up on this one!

  3. Another great book by Ian Grant; written for dad’s. Very practical; a great idea for Father’s Day! Highly recommended.

  4. Really liked this book. It’s great to find a book written by a bloke,
    for a bloke. I also really like Ian Grant’s seminars – he’s got a
great, entertaining style that has you laughing while you’re learning.
You’ve got to admire this guy – he’s knocking 70 and still going strong!
