My little 16 month old has been managing to half escape from her car seat by getting her shoulders underneath the straps. She leans forward, very happy with herself, and I keep turning around to find her dangerously not strapped in properly! So I have just bought the Houdini Stop device, which clips on to all sorts of car seat straps.
I’m liking
The Houdini Stop is such a simple design and so easy to cip and unclip. I’m liking how she can’t escape anymore, although she is really annoyed to not be able to perform her favourite trick!
Things that made me go hmmmm
I was a little put off initially by the price, as the Baby Factory sells this product for $15.50 and it is such a basic product, but then I read that it has been “crash tested” and is super safe, so I felt like the price was justified.
The conclusion
I’m stoked that I have solved my safety problem and I love the way it is a generic product. Now I know my little girl is safe in her car seat and the only problem I have is listening to her grizzle as she has to sit properly in her seat!
