I’m liking
The idea is original, and will appeal to children who like drawing treasure maps, house plans, pictures of people belonging in various different places…. The illustrations are cute, and I like the realistic childish handwriting on the map.
Things that made me go hmmmm
Even (and especially) with the surprise twist, the plot isn’t really believable for adults. If you like to read your children books that you enjoy the story of, I wouldn’t recommend this one.
The conclusion
If you have a map-mad child, this could be just the thing. Especially if they are old enough to read it to themselves!
