First up a disclaimer – I am a physicist. So any kids’ book that teaches physics is likely to get a good review from me.
But even without my predisposition to like anything about physics Gravity is a lovely book. It is visually stunning with pictures that are entertaining both for kids and adults.
I’m liking
I like how it gives a really basic introduction to a physics concept in an entertaining way. I also like how there are some pages for the older child to get some more detail and information. These extra for experts pages are nicely written and explain the concepts in simple ways.
The conclusion
Great book, it’s nice and enjoyable to talk to the kids about these concepts. The oldest tonight discovered Newton’s second law of motion and it’s neat seeing them learning how things work. So books like this can only help them think about the world around them.
Gravity is published by Andersen Press and has an RRP of $24.99.
