Cute and absorbent snap-together nappies, with a really good inner.
For more information about Cushie Tushie nappies, see our introduction. We’ve also got some great advice for getting started with cloth nappies.
I’m liking
The inner pad that you snap into the nappy is a great shape. It has a sort of scoopy elasticated bit to catch the soiling – the first line of defence against leaks.
The nappies come in colourful designs and are lovely and soft on the inside and out.
They’re easy to use and to put together after washing – just snap the inner in.
The label says these nappies are ‘made ethically in China from cotton, bamboo, polyester and polyurethane laminate.’ This may be the reason they’re a bit pricey, in which case it’s money well-spent.
Things that made me go hmmmm
It has elasticated waist and leg openings, but no leg gussets, so it’s not quite as leak-proof as it might be, and the fit is good but not superb.
The scoopy inner is really absorbent but that does mean that it takes a while to dry. If you were living somewhere cold and cloudy you might have trouble drying in the winter.
The conclusion
The scoopy inner is the best thing about these nappies, as long as you don’t mind a slightly longer drying time.
