Make Your Child Brilliant is a ground-breaking new TV series coming soon to TV3. In the accompanying book, Bernadette Tynan shows parents how to spot and nurture their child’s special talents to help them achieve the best in any field.
Every parent wants their child to fulfil their true potential but how can this best be achieved? Child psychologist Bernadette Tynan shows parents how they can identify and unlock their child’s individual talents and skills so that they can flourish and gain confidence as well as good results.
Bernadette’s argument is that every child is talented and that school exams are not necessarily the best way to find out where our child’s skills lie. Using a variety of techniques she has developed, Bernadette works with both parents and children to help find their full potential. Such techniques are vital at a time when parents are increasingly confused about how to choose the right school for their child.

After seeing this show on TV my sister bought this book so I got to check it out for free!I really like the concept that all children are or can be brilliant and the move away from testing intelligence/brilliance by conventional exams.Even if you are not totally into the concept, this book has some really great ways of spening time with your child to nurture some not-so-conventional talents and I think thats really neat.I think by following some of the books ideas you can find lots of new things out about your child, and things they are super great at which you hadent even thought about.
Bernadette spots a lad who’s taken it upon himself to do all the school gardening. Through a series of tests at an activity centre and parental interactions she gradually whittles the kids down until she’s left with Nicholas – an extremely bright boy who doesn’t respond well to rote learning or chalk-and-talk.
