Alligator in an Anorak is a classic alphabet book with a twist – each letter features an animal in something wacky!
I’m liking
The illustrations are cute and our whole family loved the outlandish ideas. My favourite is the lion in the letterbox, while mister 3 laughs his head off at the elephant in the egg cup.
Things that made me go hmmmm
Some names aren’t ones we use in New Zealand – anorak for example, but we only had to explain these once and it’s no longer an issue.
The conclusion
This is an awesome book for a preschooler who is getting interested in letters, or who is a great sense of the absurd. A definite winner!
