The Mini Micro scooter is a 3 wheel design combined with the lean and steer action ensures safety and stability for children aged 3-5 years old. The addition of the O-Bar and Kick3 seat makes the scooter suitable for 1-3 year olds.

I’m liking

This scooter is O-for-awesome!! My 1 1/2 year old has been dying for wheels of her own but she’s too little for all of the scooters I’ve come across…until now!

The basic scooter is fab enough – the two wheels at the front give it good stability and steering is easy for little people. It’s light enough and maneuverable enough for my 3 year old to hoon around on and she will be able to use it for several years to come.

But what I *really* like about this scooter is the fact that my little one can ride on it as well. The O-Bar means that she can trying scooting like her big sister and the addition of the Kick3 seat is great for her to ride on.

This scooter is sturdy and well-designed. The parts are robust but it’s super easy to put together.

Things that made me go hmmmm

At $169.50 it’s certainly not the cheapest scooter on the market. However, unlike many scooters, your kids will be able to use it from aged about 1 until aged about 5. It also feels tough enough to last the distance so it’s worth the investment in my opinion!

The conclusion

Like I said, O-for-awesome. I’ve not found a better scooter and my kids have tried a few. It’s vastly superior to the other scooter we have. Put it on your Christmas list now!!

  1. Thanks Rochelle — found your review while researching this for my 2 year old 🙂 I have found them on sale for $105 too (without the bar and seat though).

Do you use a helmet/knee pads or any protection?

    • Hi Rachel – we *love* this scooter! It works well for a range of ages and your 2 year old will probably be fine with just the t bar (my 21 month old has been using it with the t for a few months….). We do use a helmet but we’ve never worried about knee pads and so far (touch wood!) most leg skin is still in tact! The scooter is lovely and light and even youngish children seem to be able to steer it pretty easily. Hope your little one loves it!!!

    • Hi Rachel, just wondering if you could tell me where you got yours from in the sale. I’m keen to get one for my son. Thanks
