Lots of bright colourful photos and drawings, engaging text, website links for more information, and GREAT New Zealand content.
This book takes you through all the different types and category of volcano, gives a kiwi example of each, tells you more about the specific volcano (is it extinct? dormant? active? How big is it? when did it last erupt?), and is a sheer pleasure to browse through.
Things that made me go hmmmm
Nothing made me go hmmmm – this is a book I’d recommend for children aged about 8 upwards who are keen on knowing more about stuff.
The conclusion
I loved this book, and so did my kids 🙂
