This handy cream is so much more than the hand cream I first had it pegged as. After my first few applications on my hands I began to branch out, trying it on my face and loving not only the way it not only made my skin feel but also that it didn’t trigger any kind of allergic response. When I was caught out without my usual nappy rash cream the other day whilst changing my babies nappy and reached for Mum’s Secret. Sorted. When my husband exclaimed of an unusual rash on his hands, out came Mum’s Secret. The biggest problem with Mum’s Secret is going to be keeping it a secret.
I’m liking
This cream has a light, non-greasy feel and absorbs beautifully into the skin. I’m someone who’s sensitive to anything that is overly perfumed or flowery, so I really liked the subtle, freshly layed scents of rosehip, lavender and manuka in this cream. Being allergy pone, I also loved that I could apply this product without worrying about ending up in a fit of sneezes. However, the thing I loved most was that I felt like I was putting pure goodness onto my skin whenever I applied it. When the first ingredient on the ingredients list is colloidial silver, you know you’re onto a good thing. That this is followed by a bevy of organic oils and other natural goodies is outstanding.
Things that made me go hmmmm
I have fairly sensitive skin and did experience a mild, not-unpleasant, tingling directly after application. This sensation quickly subsided leaving my skin feeling soothed and refreshed.
The conclusion
This moisturising cream has become a ‘must-have’ hand bag essential. I love having one product that I can carry with me that is suitable for any dry skin skin emergency, be it chapped hands, nappy rash, an itchy bite or an after-swim facial moisturiser.
