The genius that is Dr. Seuss has had his fair share of sabotaging (with the recent live action ‘The Grinch’ and ‘The Cat In The Hat’)… now Horton gets a go, this time fully CGI animated by Blue Sky Studios – those who made ‘Ice Age’. Here’s hoping the studios’s brand of kooky animation might be a better Seuss fit.

Horton, an elephant, hears a ‘who’ coming from a speck of dust. Convinced a tiny community lives on that speck, along with someone needing assistance, Horton is driven to help… despite the ridicule of friends and family.

  1. This was a surprising good movies for kids. This film lives up to the
legacy of the book. I am not a Jim Carey fan but he did in fact put a
lot of heart into his character. This is a teriffic family film.

  2. I didn’t watch this movie with children but still I fell in love with
it! I do love animations but I must say that this one along with
Ratatouille is by far the best feature

  3. My fondest memories of Horton include his egg-hatching episode. But that
in no way diminishes the delight of seeing our old Elephant companion,
dancing and prancing his way up a mountain side—through myriad
obstacles—to a safe little cave where the Whose and their Whoville can
    safely reside.

  4. This movie was FANTASTIC, I’m very picky when it comes to cartoon and
childrens movies. I tend not to like many but this was awesome, my ten
year old thoroughly enjoyed it also. Great artwork and interpretation
of the original story and perfect voices for the characters. Also great
    hidden adult humour. Loved it!

  5. Delightfully frivolous but grounded in reality. This inventive animation
based on the Dr Seuss story will amuse, enchant and inspire one and all
    – no matter how big or small.
