Po the Panda (Jack Black), a lowly waiter in a noodle restaurant, is a kung fu fanatic whose shape doesn’t exactly lend itself to kung fu fighting. In fact, Po’s defining characteristic appears to be that he is the laziest of all the animals in ancient China.

That’s a problem because powerful enemies are at the gates, and all hopes have been pinned on a prophesy naming Po as the “Chosen One” to save the day. A group of martial arts masters are going to need a black belt in patience if they are going to turn this slacker panda into a kung fu fighter before it’s too late. A CG-animated comedy.

  1. This film was a cute animation. My kids loved it. We laughed a lot. Jack
Black was the main character and he was great as usual. This film is
    definitely a new classic

  2. Children young and old, including grandparent-variety kids, will love
this delightful and colourful tale about sticking to one’s highest
goals, through thick and thin, and against the advice of all one’s
    friends.

  3. this movie is a fun filled movie with funny characters with cheeky
attitiudes. Po the panda is so cute jst mke me wana cuddle him. great
movie for the family. i reccomend it for everybody and anybody!!

  4. We finally got to watch this movie a couple of weeks ago and thoroughly
enjoyed it. If you’re looking for a couple of movies to keep the kids
(and yourself, lol) entertained for the night I would defitely recommend
“Kung Fu Panda” and of course “Alvin &’ the Chipmunks” (which I
have seen almost 10 times now, they’re just so darn cute!)..

  5. I love it. My step kids and I just enjoyed this movie. Full of laughter and suprises.

  6. I’ve not seen the movie but my children raved about it and recommended it to all their friends. They give it 4 stars.

  7. My children were able to see this movie with their grandparents. I was
told they just loved it. Of course they had to have the toys from happy
meal from MDs. Po was the favourtie for a fat panda. Really good
movie for the family to enjoy.

  8. Hi,
Last holidays I endured Speed Racers and Kung Fu Panda with my 5
yrold and his friends and my 5 and 2.5yr old for Kung Fu..Panda.
I must admit I was reluctant to endure this movie but was quickly convinced otherwise.
    Once
again the creators have presented a movie which appeals to both adults
and children at the same time with the clever levels of puns, humour and
storylines that will engage all parties. I felt afterwards it was a
pleasure to watch and came away uplifted in spirit and mood.
    I also
came away with a great mantra of yesterday is in the past ,tomorrow is
unknown but today is the gift one is givenin life and this is why it is
called the PRESENT… If only everyday I could live by this decree..
    HENCE I will try….

My two boys are now avid Kung Fu imitators and
still speak fondly of the film… with the 2.5 yr old talking often of
the characters and the dragon warrior… wHICH SPEAKS TO THE LASTING
    EFFECTS OF A GREAT MOVIE…

  9. This was a beautifully animated movie and entertaining all-around. My
kids as expected loved it. I don’t think we were out of the parking lot
before the six year old said to the 13 year old, When we get home,
    let’s play Kung Fu Panda.
I’ll be Tai Lung. You be Po.
    There was
one scene in which my six year old climbed into my lap because she was a
little scared (it was during an ominous scene in which Tai Lung breaks
out of prison). All in all, this one was really good. We’ll definitely
buy it when it comes out on DVD

  10. FUNNY FUNNY MOVIE WITH JOKES FOR DIFFERENT AGES. WATCHED IT LAST NIGHT
AND EVERYONE WAS LAUGHING A LOUD ESPICALLY THE LADY BEHIND US.

  11. If you love Jack Black then you will thoroughly enjoy this movie!

    Kung
Fu Panda is definitely one of the funniest family animated movies I
have seen since Toy Story/Bug’s Life. Unlike those movies however, the
jokes/funny bits are not adult-focussed innuendos that the kids don’t
really get. Therefore, the whole family can enjoy the film together –
rather than the children staring blankly at their parents laughing at
something that just went straight over their heads. My family and I have
already watched this movie twice and is defintely one we could and
WOULD watch over and over again!

I must say I do also like the
message of the unlikely candidate being the hero and that everyone is
special in their own way – what a great message for our kids don’t ya
    think?!
