Strips of egg are an easy finger food for a toddler, and make a nutritious and fast lunch. You can make an omelette as simple or as elaborate as you like – add to the recipe with whatever you have to hand. Obviously, use caution of there is an egg allergy in your family.
Ingredients:
- One egg
- 2 Tbsp grated cheese
Method:
Heat a small frypan over a medium heat.
Whisk the egg in a bowl until slightly frothy. Pour egg into pan.
Sprinkle grated cheese on top of egg. As the egg starts to set on top, carefully flip the omelette over to thoroughly cook the other side. This will only take a minute or two.
Slide the omelette off onto a chopping board and cut carefully into strips. Place onto a plate and allow to cool before giving to your child.
