Mais oui bien sûr, Lonely Planet Kids have included a guide to Paris in their new City Trails editions for the 8-12 year old bracket. If you want a fun taste of what it’s like to walk the streets of the City of Light, or to whet your child’s appetite for travel, this little guide will fulfill that purpose.
I’m liking
With 100 square pages of facts about everything from The Revolution to Houdini, this is a really great read. I’ve only visited Paris for a few days, but all the key sights are represented here – and there’s so much more to this City Trails book, where history is recorded and beautiful pictures of artworks entice.
The conclusion
Whether your tween wants to travel, loves all things français or just enjoys facts, they’ll get something out of this great travel guide. It’s perfectly laid out for the target audience (but you’ll enjoy it too!) Particularly if your child is learning French at school, they’ll spend a lot of time dreaming as their fingers walk through the pages of this book.
