We’ve known the good people at Jet Park Auckland for a while now and the Kiwi Families team has often commented that New Zealand could do with more Jet Park Hotels. Well now there’s another – Jet Park Rotorua! Proudly New Zealand owned and operated, the Jet Park team has taken over what used to be the Quality Inn and is transforming it with their usual style and panache.
I’m liking
Jet Park only took over the hotel in November 2015 but they’ve leapt into action and are transforming it into a 4 star hotel. And like Jet Park Auckland, they’re paying particular attention to families. The family suites have children’s toys and linen and there’s a cool book-nook / toy corner on the second floor of the hotel. Children welcome here!
The staff were, without exception, helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and they seemed to be happy to be there. I also loved the beds… so comfy!
We really liked the fact that although it’s a hotel, there was a microwave, a fridge and a small amount of crockery in the room. This made feeding the small people so much easier.
Continental breakfasts are also included as part of the price – a great way to save some coin for other adventures.
The conclusion
We’re big fans of Jet Park hotels. They’re run by people who really care about the experience that their guests have. The transformation is still a work in progress but I’m sure this is going to be a top notch hotel when it’s done. Go Jet Park!
