Exposure is the fourth book in the popular ‘Virals’ series starring Tory Brennan, niece of Temperance Brennan (‘Bones’, to those who watch the popular TV series). It is written by Kathy Reichs and son Brendan Reichs.
I’m liking
This was a very easy to read book that flowed well and took you with Tory and her friends as they came to terms with their affliction, resulting from being injected with a Parvovirus vaccine.
They found they had become wolfish and set out to find twins and missing classmates, who are being held to ransom. The mystery unfolds and there is lots to anticipate!
Things that made me go hmmmm
Well, it is sci-fi, so there are many things make you go ‘hmmmm’. It is however, for this genre, pretty believable.
The conclusion
As the series’ popularity would attest to, this book would appeal to most teenagers as it is following current trends and is quite exciting. The violence is mild and it is a page turner; a great read.
