Hard boiled egg
Bowl or cup deep enough to completely submerge an egg
Tongs, egg dipper, or slotted spoon
½ cup boiling water
1 teaspoon white vinegar
Liquid food colouring (about 20 drops per colour)

What to do
Make sure your eggs are hard-boiled and cooled
Protect your working surface with newspaper
Fill a containers with the water, vinegar and food colouring (Do this for each colour you want to use)
Place egg on a spoon and dunk, turning occasionally so both sides get coloured. Keep in the liquid for about 5 minutes. The longer you leave it the darker the colour.
Once you have dipped them you can place them back in the egg carton to dry.

Cute Easter egg heads

Seriously how cute are these easter egg heads. They a fun and easy to make and best of all kids love them.

Material you will need cute easter egg craft

  • hard-boilded egg
  • Paint
  • vivid
  • stiff card
  • foam
  • small pompoms
  • pipe cleaners
  • glue/tape

What to do

Using a cool hard-boiled egg paint your egg and then let them dry. You could also dye them using the method above.

While your egg is drying make a little cone hat and glue a pompom on the top. Then cut out a pair of bunny ears to stick on

When the paint is dry using  a vivid or black marker draw on a face.

Tape the hats and ears on your egg. For the hat you can tape it from the inside. For the ears I just stuck it down at the back or you could use a little glue.

Make a coil with your pipe cleaner and sit the egg on it.

These make a great centre piece for your easter table.

If you don’t like the idea of wasting eggs a good idea is to use the egg blowing technique.
